BENSON MAREMMAS LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN TRAINING
Benson Maremmas was the origin of one of our own dogs, and the jumping off point for many of our training theories and practices. While we are able to work with you and trouble shoot through a number of training issues, anything that is going beyond our knowledge and available time to help with we will refer to Cindi Benson for more in-depth training and assistance. Cindi is a certified trainer through the Karen Pryor Academy with a specialization in livestock guardian dogs, particularly maremmas.
Located in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan, Whispering Aspen Ridge is the closest maremma breeder to our location in Manitoba. In 2022 we purchased Ivan from W.A.R and were very pleased with his easy going temperament, willingness to greet visitors to the farm, and trainability. In 2025 when we decided to close down our breeding program, we approached W.A.R. about our male Switchback Ranch Sumo. On meeting him, Sumo quickly won them over with his love of cuddles and gentle giant personality. We hope he is a great addition to their breeding program.
